You were right on that one... Right in the feels. Lovely work, nonetheless, with amazing colouring and textures. I especially loved the texture on Loki's skin, with the Jotun form creeping for all eyes to see from underneath the illusion. The composition and the way their bodies are tangled is just heart-wrenching and it all just fits and weaves together perfectly. Gah.
Oh, both boys looks great! They're two of the few men who can still look manly . . . . well, attractively masculine, with their braided hair and cute ringlets and porcelain skin and natural tiny pout and ability to never get out of a person's head.
Definitely!! When my cousin and I first saw the trailers, we saw Loki's hair, and we were both like O.O...He looks like some sort of hippie/stoner/rockstar...and then Thor with his majestic golden locks, lol. It was great.
I kind of thought Loki wasn't doing himself any favors if he was trying to be more manly. The long hair helps to accent his delicate features - the long, elegant fingers, the high cheekbones, the naturally pursed lips, the porcelain skin, the pretty eyelashes. Methinks Frigga wanted a baby girl, and was lucky her adopted son was pretty enough to pull off the feminine touches.
I love this really, really much. The pencil lines look so beautiful, everything is so fluid, everything just FITS, the way Thor's hair falls down, his hand at Loki's neck, everything. And the colour scheme is so lovely, everything is red and yellow and then Loki's face is just white and pale and I really LOVE that picture, okay?!
This is gorgeous! The drawing is perfect and I am in awe of the way you've managed colouring and textures. I would kill for a tutorial on this piece or just to see how you managed the different layers. They seem to melt in and out of one another. It all weaves together beautifully!
